For Village of Hope, our leadership, our volunteers and for the homeless and those in need in Lawrenceville.
Our volunteers meet every Wednesday night at 6pm at 131 Eaton St. We rely on volunteers to help carry out all our programs. There are many ways that your time and talents can be used at Village of Hope to help those who are homeless and needy in Lawrenceville.
Village of Hope is always in need of food items for our pantry that is used for our Food Box Ministry and Bags of Hope programs. All foods need to be ready to eat or microwaveable. Food needs includes: canned meat, canned pasta (Chef Boy Ar Dee), ramen noodles (already in heatable container), peanut butter, jelly, juice boxes, toiletries, diapers, depends, feminine hygiene products, oatmeal, grits, cereal, microwave meals (Hormel, etc.), canned soups, fruit cups or canned fruit, crackers, snacks, pudding cups, cereal/granola bars, canned vegetables and beans, rice and macaroni and cheese that is microwaveable and pop tarts. We also need can openers and microwaveable bowls. Any of these donations can be dropped off at 131 Eaton Street.
Village of Hope relies on financial contributions to fund our programs and to assist the homeless and those in need. No one working with Village of Hope is paid. We do have operating cost but aside from that all financial contributions go directly to assist the homeless and those in need in Lawrenceville. We would greatly appreciate your financial contribution that will be applied to helping the homeless with food boxes, expenses associated with our Christmas Extravaganza program, assistance to Lawrenceville and Jenkins elementary and the Bags of Hope program and much more!
Witness to Others
Help spread the word about Village of Hope! Talk to your friends, co-workers, groups that you belong to, your church, neighborhood association, etc. and tell them what we are doing and encourage them to participate with us. Invite us to speak to your group or bring yourself and some friends to volunteer one Wednesday night.
